True story, released from Hospital 7 Days later.
  2. I have purchased a C/Z .22 l/r any advice please on the most effective moderator to suit this gun.
  3. I would rate them 10/10, excellent service.
  4. Most acids can be neutralised with an "alkaline" solution, but I would purchase a eye wash bottle filled with a solution as may be suggested by a chemist. Water it's self will not neutralise the acid only dilute, an mild "alkaline" is required, conversely to neutralise caustic burns a mild "acid" is needed.
  5. Suggest that you go via "Google" and look up "Phostoxin" but you may have difficulty in obtaining it, I have used it for rats and problem solved.
  6. Been there, not a pleasant experience, in my case I learned that they had being putting the main contractors board in their van when they left and replacing it with their board, during court proceedings found that everything was in his wife's name even the vehicles were hired, cost me a lot of money, it might be worth looking at the site "Trust a trader". Good luck.
  7. You are so right, political correctness has a lot to answer for.
  8. I have purchased a Tomtom Start 25 Sat Nav, when I set a route "demo" of say 1½ hours duration, after approx. 1hr it reverts to my starting place, what am I doing wrong. I would be very grateful for any advice that you can offer. Thanks, and no I don't want a Garmin.
  9. I received an unwanted sales call, the conversation started by him introducing himself as "John" I disputed this and explained that he had started the conversation with a lie, eventually he relented and told me his birth name but the management give them the names they must use, he works from a call centre in India, the expectations are for each employee to make a minimum of 600 calls per 12 hour shift with a conversion rate of 10%, if these targets are not reached they are out of a job.
  10. Regarding the storage of gun safe keys, I purchased a couple of small barrel type magnets that have a hole in the centre, put one of these in any place out of site, just an idea.
  11. I have just completed an continuation form for my FAC application and notice that one of the questions asks have I ever been charged with any offence including speeding, I cannot remember seeing this question on previous applications, what ramifications would it have if I answered yes.
  12. I would be very interested to know on what basis do Natural England decide on the laws concerning the shooting of cormorants, my licence which I believe is general states; they can only be shot using 12,16,20, bore shot gun, the shot should be No3 or No4, they can only be shot if in groups of 2 or more. The regular appearance of a large adult bird cannot be dealt with because it's not accompanied by others, I am not adverse to killing but will not condone cruelty, and in my opinion shooting at a bird at a distance of 30/40 yards using 4 shot is more likely to injury it than kill it. Following a visit from a young lady representing Natural England her suggestion was for me to string wires across the 3.5 acre lake to deter the birds from flying in, or purchase some wooden pallets and staple stock fencing to the base and float them on the water, other suggestions were equally as ludicrous. Your thoughts please.
  13. To those members that offered constructive advice I thank you, to those that criticised the "font" being unable to read, for future reference please assist by stating the acceptable font size, and any other changes that I should make. To the member that suggested that I was just being "posh" I treat that comment with the contempt it deserves.
  14. I have just purchased a cheap Browning Pump Action .22 LR (£80) I now realise that you get what you pay for, I will try and return it to the shop because even at 30 yds the rounds are all over the place. I have a 17HMR what a fantastic gun, I am no great shot but at 100 yds it's very accurate. My question is can those more experienced than me advise me on what should I expect to pay for a reliable accurate 22LR, and any makes to look for. Thanking you.
  15. I thank you all for your advice, what I find is so annoying is that when I put in a claim into my insurers for the loss of 2 strimmer's, chain saw, pressure washer, many power tools, John Deere ride on mower plus trailer, "Saga" informed me that the mower is classed as a motorised vehicle and not covered (replacement cost £6400) my advice to all is check your insurance small print, I didn't to my cost.
