i,m in the process of erecting a kennel and run for the 2 springers , i,ve got a second hand wood and mesh set up to put on the base , but too be honest i would prefer metal type.
So Anyone tell me the cheapest place to purchase kennel panels from.
i,m looking for the metal mesh type that bolt together.
or

hi lads , could i have some help please
i,m wanting to add a bit more room onto a conrete base thats already there , the space i have available to fit on the end is 9 feet by 3 feet by approx 2 to 3 inch deep ( is that deep enough for a lightweight kennel base )
can some one tell much how much in materials i will need ( cement 25kg bags and ballast in 25 kg bags from wickes )
thanks
-
just wondering if any one as used the pre-mixed ( cement and ballast in 25kg bags ) before.
its the type where you lay down the powder mix and just add water.
does this stuff work

trying to carry on .
as long as i dont get too stressed i suppose a little training is better than leaving off it for 3 weeks , i may be wrong , we'll see
-
thats the second one i,ve missed , got any more

interesting subject -- how old is too old to train as a keeper , most of the ones i,ve met are older than me , but i suppose they had been doing it a while
-
how do you find out about working tests and trials etc ??.
interested to go along to have a look to see what its all about
thanks

i have a 18 month old springer bitch , her training WAS coming on well
i went out and bought another springer bitch pup , for the reason that i wanted a work in progress as it takes 2 to 2.5 years to train one , now i wish i had waited at least another 6 months
all they want to do is **** about together , so i,d wait if i was you mate
-
just a simple question , i was wondering when the general feeling was on this subject
when your bitch comes into season , do you continue with the training or is all hope lost and you might as well have a few weeks off..
whats your thoughts
-
got same prob here , thought i,d cracked it
if theres a good soluation i,d like to hear it too
-
For diy whats the best way to do it , the windows i,m thinking of dont open .
do i just make a stencil of the inside , cut to shape and stick on
and
how does the film adhere to the glass , is there a glue etc .
thanks
-
yep a no 4 sorry , i missed the ejector bit .
i,ve got a no 3 and thought it looked the same
-
Any one
-
i think thats a no 3 mate
-
sorry now SOLD
-
lads -- you,ve given me some good ideas
i,ll use the cage and the whining , sure shes only playing but shes fetched blood a few times on me and on my older springer.
i might just isolate them from each other from now on , they are a pair of g*ts together , when i bought this pup it didnt occur to me that having a second springer in the house would turn my fairly well trained 18 month springer bitch into a nutcase and make things twice as hard
cheers

Be serious. She's a puppy. All puppies will mouth hands, feet, clothes. If you start to stop her from doing these basic things, you could potentially make her fearful of picking things up in later life.
Yes it hurts. I have had plenty of cuts from my dog when he was a puppy, but he's good as gold. Their teeth are sharp and you're going to haver to get used to it.
She will grow out if it.
common sense , i know that , currently i,m trying to stop her from doing it to my other dogs as well ( ears , neck etc ) , who for some strange reason wont put her in her place .
i tap her nose and shout at her , clamp her mouth shut and she backs off , then she wont come near me until shes forgotten all about the telling off.
my hands and forearm are shredded along with my G-shock and a couple of shirt sleeves
i think it may be more than just play as she does get a bit aggressive when in attack mode and started latching on to my youngests arm and ankles when ever she trys to make a fuss of her.
was just wondering if there was a pro tip apart from a agressive respnse
re-enforcing stop whistle
in Dogs and Dog Training
Posted · Edited by darren m
you think your dog knows the stop whistle :o , in fact i know she knows it , she used to be pretty good .
but now
not so good and trying to get her to sit on the whistle instead of hovering is a pain . she will stop but tends to run on a bit and if out there in the field sometimes ignores me totally until she see's me running at her :o usually swearing :o
so i need to re-enforce the stop whistle training , the thing is i,m sure the damn dogs knows exactley what i require , but i,m sure it thinks it knows better or does,nt think its important .
what can i do ??
is there anything else to try apart from the most basic stuff of walking to heel on lead and making her sit on the whistle every time its pipped
thanks
