  1. Glueing flooring to joists is standard practice on new build these days. We have to use the D4 glue which expands like a foam and fills any gaps as well as sticking the boards down. We don't get squeaky floors any more but if you have to take any up for plumbers or sparks its a bloody nightmare.
  2. Antigua is our favourite beach/chill-out holiday. Its the most laid back place I've ever been, the local folks are friendly and great fun. Anywhere in Florida is tops for a more active holiday. I'm planning on hiring a bike and riding coast to coast in a couple of years to explore more of the US. Thats been on my bucket list for years
  3. If you're going to the warehouse they have a lot more kit than just their own label now . Some is utterly **** but theres some ok kit too. They have more than just carp tackle too.
  4. Thanks folks Welshwarrior you have a pm
  5. Can anyone recommend a gun fitter in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire or South Yorkshire please.
  6. Any idea which type of release aid he wants? Wrist release, thumb release, back tension (unlikely), there are quite a few types out there. If you're buying new most of the archery shops will offer you advice on these. Custom built archery is the one most geared towards compound shooters but Bowsports, Chiltern archery etc. will all have a good selection.
  7. Good shooting that, it's hard enough to maintain accuracy on static targets never mind fast moving birds. Meat damage will be minimal as they use rubber blunts on the arrows for this kind of bowhunting. The birds are literally knocked out of the sky with the impact, only occasionally would an arrow point pass through a blunt (the blunt would have to have been used many times and worn).
  8. Wow, a few timing issues there . Still you gotta start from somewhere.
  9. Thats a good bag of greys there bud, Good shooting
  10. Feed him to Ted Nugent I say, (That interview was funny) I'm sure uncleTed could find Pierce a nice comfy spot in the grounds of his ranch somewhere :-)
  11. Some good eating there bud, nice shooting.
  12. Slight advantage over the 22 due to the flatter flight of the pellet and hits harder than a 177 while retaining some of the penetration of the 177. 177 still has the flattest trejectory though. Theres less choice of pellets in .20 so that puts some off. For shooting in the field all callibres have a compramise somewhere so dont get too hung up on the best callibre debate just shoot what you enjoy is my thinking
  13. Managed a walk out with the .20 cal this morning, managed a small bag with one tree rat and a black and white pynot 😊
  14. Derbyshire. Certificate arrived today, 8 weeks in total, now the mission starts to find the right gun 😊
