To say we have tried for years with treatment and drugs isn't correct. We've tried for a couple of decades and only with convicted offenders. Don't get me wrong, I'd happily support the death penalty for those convicted but we need to spend more money and time on treatment for those that want to change how they are and protect as many children as we can. Since we don't live in a minority report world if we don't know who these people are how can we protect our children?

I thought it was a very interesting programme. You have to remember the difference between a peadopfile and someone who goes on to act and becomes a sex offender. Eddie didn't want to be the way he was and clearly we haven't invested much in the way of treatment. Rather than just locking people up and releasing them again with no treatment I agree we should be looking at ways to treat them. It would seem to be a fault with how their brains are wired but why can't we look at fixing this. It sounds like prevention would save more children than letting them live in the shadows until they offend.

Hello, I was just wondering if someone could give me some advice since it the weekend and the FEO will we off work until Monday. I've applied for my SGC with Lancashire Comstabulary and got a letter confirming they had received it and told me who the FEO would be. I saw my referee yesterday and just asked her if they had made contact. She said they hadn't but today I noticed they have cashed my £50 cheque. I'm not having a fun kept at my house and it will go to my fathers address (who is also applying). If they have cashed the cheque does that mean my application has been granted?

Not unless I planned to sit there with it all the time and even until I'd finished and it had cooled down.
