  1. ps. could do a sunday in January , as Feb will be roost shooting and British Shooting show. Flycoy
  2. you guys sort the venue as you know your area well, as long as we have the requirements will be happy, can always bring a flask! date wise, try to miss the game fair dates. I expect you are all busy with game season, wildfowling etc. so maybe February now. leave it with you ATB Flycoy
  3. Hi All ask Bakerboy he will know Flycoy
  4. Wilksy if Humberside is ok and local to you all that have showed the interest, with the agreement of rimotu66, lets see if we can book there. The club will need to have a room to use with somewhere to project the powerpoint onto. a safe grass area for the hide building and decoying, and a couple of auto traps to use. an idea of the cost to hire those things would be good. good tea and coffee and a bacon sandwich would be even better.!! some where for Bakerboy to do his hair and makeup a bonus! seriously we are really keen to get this day sorted, once we have a date and venue sorted we can get Basc to advertise it on the fastrack site and we will surely get some more interest. lets get something moving now guys ...............now we are 9! Flycoy
  5. Second that BB,, rimotu, we are still here, just trying to sort a way to help you guys get the day, ,, that's me on the right!! Flycoy
  6. bakerboy, only other thing we could to not let down those that are keen is just one of us run the day, you or me, would be better if we are both there for the banter etc. but may be the only way we can do it. Flycoy
  7. unfortunately similar interest as last time around 8 people, cant seem to get more interested considering the amount of views on the post. rimotu thanks for the work though . see if anything changes, but may have to rethink and try again another time. as we have said before, the days are not money making we just need to cover the admin, room hire, clays, travel and accommodation expenses if needed. will be back to shows, courses and training in the spring so we get a bit busy again. maybe PW is giving all the info novices need ATB Flycoy
  8. great thanks Auntie and cuffy as expected PW supplies the info Flycoy
  9. ghosthunter law, general licence, decoys and patterns, quarry id and habitat, cartridges, guns, patterning of gun, hide building, decoy layout, shooting from seated in a hide with coaching. gun fit and eye dominance check and questions and answers. think that's all but a full day usually, we teach you and you teach us! we all learn. its a good day. all you need is licence gun and a box of cartridges. thanks for the interest Flycoy
  10. Any standard really just need a few to go at, thanks for quick reply Rupert
  11. Hi all looking at some course dates for next year, can any Lincolnshire clay shooters recommend a ground in the county that has a classroom/meeting area and would be willing to hold a one day course with some clay shooting as well. suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance. Flycoy
  12. looks brilliant well done, looks like the marine business might have a new section of production, done mine for the dmax last year found the runners the most expensive bit. yours looks lot classier with the dark wood, well done again. Flycoy
  13. totally agree with all Wymberley is saying here, we coach a lot of youngsters at the coaching lines at gamefairs. we normally have a couple of light weight 410 single barrels available and with shoulder gel pads, eye and ear protection we have some very happy youngsters after they have broken say 4or5 out of 10 incomers. they walk away chatting away to their parents full of it. a lot return to the same fairs the following year. you will have probably seen adverts with bakerboy coaching a young lad who did exceptionally well we also do a lot with them on Basc Young Shot days, air rifles, shotguns, dog training, falconry and pigeon decoying. moving them on to walked up partridge days, some of the ones that started at 7 are now Young shot ambassadors in there late teens I would say as long as the youngster is keen and big enough then you should make the best of that time as they soon grow out of interest in things, not going to be a "party pooper " but if its not at a clay ground then watch the law around" young persons and shotguns", just being with their dad may not be enough. if I can help with more PM me and will do my best to help flycoy
  14. Eye dominance is an important part of your shooting worth getting it checked but if you want an eye dot or spot try Simon at www.shotgun.me.uk he does REDEYE and will sort you out. Roadkill.... will sort your eye dominance check for you on the pigeon intro day I normally squeeze eye dom and gunfit into the day so no prob if you want to. Flycoy
