  2. Hi all will be there for the day so will be a busy day but will get through a lot and teach you some, but learn a lot myself. Its a relaxed course in a great location with good facilities and a warm welcome from the staff on the ground. good shop on site and an air rifle section too. need a few ,more for the day so take a look at the Basc website for booking details Thanks Flycoy
  3. Yes A long drive, but well worth going. Met some good people, keen on their sport. one of the best i have done and everyone stayed keen and interested even with the cold. Spending a day talking to people about pigeon shooting, with a bit of banter, good way to spend a day! great ground facilities and a warm welcome! Thanks to all, good to meet you and put faces to Avatars Flycoy
  4. Hi all Checked in with the office and we have 11 booked in for the 7th feb so good number, space for some more though if anybody fancies it looking forward to the day ATB Flycoy

  7. BrowningB525, do you mean you have signed up for membership aswel as the course? if so welcome! Thanks again all for this interest, I too am looking forward to the day, meeting you all and passing on info as well as learning from you all about our beloved pigeon shooting. will be a fantastic day got a charity roost shoot in Rugby on the Saturday so will be heading up early in the morning, so will yet again miss BB at the bar!! Thanks to BB and Rimotu66 for their hard work on this, due to work commitments on the day job, I tend to leave everything to a very efficient BB and turn up on the day to take all the glory!! so thanks again for this both. will speak to the office and keep an eye on the numbers. ATB Flycoy
  8. Hi all Thanks for the interest you have all shown in this post, can I ask those of you still keen to register your interest on the basc website, go to home page click on "events and courses" then "training courses. you will see "cant find a course in you area?" click on that and fill in boxes and select a course "shotgun patterning workshop". this will show the interest out there for the day thanks again PW Flycoy
  9. Hi all, Date and venue confirmed for the day as poster above, you may not find it on the booking site until the new course scedule comes on line probably after xmas so if you could keep an eye on the booking page for changes. thanks all have a good Christmas and New Year! Flycoy
  10. All, thanks for the interest in this, have emailed the boss regarding the day and will get back to you when I have some facts and a cost, will make it an interesting day for you all. would be good for the PW wildfowlers to see how there chosen non toxic perform too. keep registering an interest please and I will get to work on it ATB Flycoy
  11. OF the idea of the post is to see if enough interest is there to lay a day on, will of course keep you up to date, once I see that its possible I will go back to HQ and get a more detailed plan of the day sorted so you can see what is what and I will get a venue that will facilitate the big bores and steel etc, will have some good info there too so will be a good day really want to see how interested you guys are first, don't like to cancel events once arranged ATB Flycoy
  12. we will get some patterning in for you if you want some, probably only a couple of shots each, patterning is part of the day but we general discuss and use previous plates to get the point across. we will just have to get BB to talk quicker!! Flycoy
  13. Thanks for the prompt interest, the idea of the day would be to use the gun and cartridges you normally use to see how they perform, shot concentration, lethality etc. it would fill most of the day, be in the spring and would be in the central area for the first one I would think. Flycoy
  14. Lost our 16 yr old springer Amber two yrs ago and still think about her, great Wildfowling dog, think she missed less ducks than fingers on one hand over her whole life, would swim through waves and still have the duck! Jessy would have known you loved her, they know more than we give them credit for. remember the good times and get another dog as soon as you feel upto it. ATB Flycoy
  15. Just putting the feelers out to see if we ran a Basc Patterning Day what interest it would generate. Pattening plating is not used as much nowadays, but can produce interesting results and help with performance and lethality rates. feedback from the PW crew appreciated Thanks Flycoy
  16. Evening All! have had a meeting today with HQ and the 7th of feb has been authorised. will get the office to get in touch with Humberside and then sort the booking facility out for online registration. will keep you all posted flycoy
  17. Rimotu66 am going to speak to head office tomorrow to confirm the date is ok, hopefully we will get some more once advertised . thanks again for the effort Flycoy
  18. Been coaching today, on the way back I was in some traffic on the motorway going at a crawl and there was a pigeon shooter in a field at the side of the carriageway, I noticed the rotary going round, soon spotted the hide which stood out a mile. that wasn't the problem though he or she was shooting towards the motorway. I judged it for about 180 yrds , Definitely a candidate for the course, bad hide and a few peppered cars!! Flycoy
  19. OK! spoke to Bakerboy how does Sunday the 7th Feb at Humberside sound to you all, need to check with head office so running it by you all first, and need to check if the ground can do the Sunday ATB Flycoy
  20. well done all, that's enough to book it, will get together with BB to arrange dates and get a booking facility sorted. thanks Rimotu66 and all for the interest you have showed. looking forward to the day .hopefully get a few more on here and at the venue ATB Flycoy
