  1. What time are people going to be there? Don't fancy going on my own haha!
  2. Hi guys I'm looking to either swap shooting or take out a relative newcomer to give them some trigger time and keep An eye on them. I can offer good pigeon/crow roost shooting and possibly lamping depending on my personal situation at the time. Looking to swap for anything, basically just want the chance of a day out and to shoot over some new ground. Willing to travel most places. I have fac and sac, full shooting insurance through the ngo and sga and I am an ex gamekeeper. Or alternatively I will be more than happy to take someone shooting who has just got their shotgun license and either has no where to shoot or is looking for someone to show them the basics. Thanks Jamie
  3. You'd be surprised, nothing so far and I also put a post up recently offering to take new shooters out or do a swap for some shooting with someone and didn't hear anything. Jamie
  4. Hi guys I've got a farm that I have permission on near Durham city, been lamping on it a couple of times since coming back home and keep seeing a lamp shy fox, I was wandering if anyone in the area has a fox pro with a cub in distress call and a lamp with a red filter who would like to come out and maybe even shoot providing their fac facilitates this. Thanks Jamie
  5. Hi everyone I was lookin at these rifles and couldn't find much Information on them, but I spoke to a friend who writes in sporting rifle and he gave me a really good honest opinion of them, so I took the plunge and ordered one in .243 First impressions weren't brilliant to be honest, didn't think it looked particularly nice siting in the box and it seemed a bit weighty with a heavy trigger. However once I worked the bolt I knew that this was a decent bit of kit, the action is silky smooth and I think would rival stuff well above its £600 price tag. Took it home and got it scoped up with a zeiss Duralyt 3-12x50 and added my bipod and moderator to it and have to say that it isn't a lightweight but really not heavy either, just a standard mid range rifle I would say. So onto the range and oh my god! First 3 shots with rws ammo went into 3/4 inch group but then I ran out of them (just spares I had from an estate rifle) so put federal 100 grains through it and it loved them! 1/2 inch groups straight away and destroyed the centre of the target within 4 shots. The feed was slightly not by at first and I really had to be careful when stalking as the first couple of hinds heard me loading the rifle, however I soon realised this was down to me seating the bullets to far back in the magazine so I now sit them right at the front so they're just short of the feeding ramp and it's brilliant. There is a box mGazine on its way from Bergara as standard and as a conversion for current owners if they wish. On the whole I can't fault mine after 5 months and it just keeps on getting better! Has held its zero even after rough treatment on a quad bike. So basically, really good rifle and definitely a competitor for the tikka t3 and totally out classes the Remington 700, Howas etc. Jamie
  6. Easiest way I've found is to undo the engine and just shift it forwards enough to get your hands in and line everything up. Only took the box out to do a clutch once and that was only because the box needing replacing. although I think If you where to split the transfer box from the main box and take them out separately then that could make it easier?
  7. Took 500kg in yesterday and got £40 compared to £22 for a tonne about 8 monthe ago

  9. Bergara b14... £600 brand new and shoots like a custom rifle, amazingly smooth action and decent stick for the money. Essentially a Remington 700 the way it should have been done. I also own a tikka t3, a ruger m77 and have access to saki estate rifles. Obviously the Salk is better but then it's almost 3 times the price, however it doesn't shoot any better, tikka is good but no better than my Bergara and cost £400 extra, ruger is just a ruger really haha For what it's worth when ever I open the cabinet for a rifle it's the Bergara that comes out the most.
  10. Plus one for this, I was looking for a .243 recently and have ended up with a Bergara b14 in the hunter stock and just can't fault it, shoots .4" groups with factory ammo and is light enough to carry all day long, and all for £600! Can't go wrong in my opinion
