Home office to review air weapons regulations in England and wales
TommyB replied to rbrowning2's topic in Airgunners
Air rifles are a fantastic gateway into all forms of shooting. The fact they do not require a license means the bar for trying shooting is low enough for many to try it out. Some of these people go on to other types of shooting sport but all retain an understanding of the shooting world. -
Don't be too hard on Cwis. I heard he is artistic.
-
No response from gp in 21 days means all fine. Those are the guidelines.
-
Hold on. You think 1/3 of the country are in some way criminal...?
-
Why would your FEO express an opinion on the quality of key safe you use? There is no requirement to use a key safe on a SGC. Is there a requirement for FAC?
-
If you are a member of an organisation contact them. Why have gmp sent a questionnaire? Is this for a full medical due to something you had to declare on your application?
-
You get what you pay for. Cheaper brownings and berrettas won't have great wood. Old berretta were comparratively more expensive than the entry level silver pigeons of today.
-
If the gun fits you properly you will shoot consistently with it. That is true of all guns. Make sure you budget a little extra to visit a stockist and have the sp fitted properly.
-
Why don't you see if there are any pw members local to you without a permission who would be willing to accompany you and do all the physical work?

GP views on firearms licensing
TommyB replied to Woodbepigeonshooter's topic in General Shooting Matters
Good will may be running dry in the profession but the gp contract and pay levels when it first came in destroyed public trust in or sympathy for gps. You reap what you sow. -
It is already in full effect.
-
I would just book an appointment and when I got into the office say I suddenly felt lots better. But as you have allocated me the time slot that I have paid for through my taxes you can use it to respond to my licensing department like a good public servant.
-
I love my unico. I hope you enjoy using yours as much!

I have an a400 unico without the kick off system. It really has very little recoil even with heavier loads. I dont think the ko system is necassary its just more to go wrong.
