hello, reference my post on shotty/FAC application i have decided on buying a 12guage ARMSAN SEMI AUTO and a CZ455 AMERICAN SYNTHETIC .22 LR so i contacted 6 gun shops within 20 miles of south oxon 4 by phone 1 by email 1 by going to shop with a view to purchase together with scope/mod/ammo/cartridges and a few other bits and maybe a S/H O/U, 3 did not bother to get back to me/ no return with the email that leaves 2 the one i phoned got back and few hours later and gave me an idea of total cost, the shop i went to look at a few semi autos and rifles were very good but having looked on the importers web site saying had some in stock of a phenoma in camo had none in stock!!!!!!,the CZ 455 could be ordered ok. so it looks like i might have to go with a 612 in camo and i was quoted £450 when i see other shops on gun trader doing for £385 and the CZ rifle quoted £450 when another one in same county doing for £350. should i just wait for my permits and find the best deal when i shall be spending over a £1,000? ? ?

hello, metal detecters come in all variations and price but you dont need to spend a fortune to get something suitable, you can get switch on and go or put in your own programmes, multi or single frequency, so many variations if your buying new take your time and study reviews and what you will detect on field/beach. 2 important things to remember high and low frequency but not always true high for small stuff low for not so small but deep, i found a silver lizzy 1st shilling 2 ft deep in solid blue clay with the safari. i know the deus is popular but expensive but remember if you are not over a artifact ??/ newarcher if you give me more details money to spend etc i can give my opinion but i think the euro ace is a great machine

hello, i have been detecting for years and used many machines but now i changed my minelab safari due to its weight but a very good detecter, now have a garret euroace and finding lots of stuff although not quite as deep. the explorer is multi frequency as the safari, if you cant do the deus that fisher is good and light and a good upgrade

hello, i use to live in chichester and joined that club, first thing is learn the area/ tides/ marsh/ and do a wildfowling course. as for the shotty i had an early AYA no 3 which after every time out was washed dried and re oiled, semi autos were not as popular as today but no reason not to use yours if you wish or get a cheapy O/U S/S and have a good butt pad fitted. i never found the need to use magnum carts. i use to go with a friend on his boat before sun rise most but there are good shore places good luck
