Cut down some studding, fill the hole you have managed to make with "sticks like......... (and then a 4 letter word that i will get told off if i use again!, starts with S)......" and put the studs in. Let it cure and then attach to a batten which has been countersunk to hide the nuts. You can then attach the curtain holders to the batten with conventional screws and fill the holes for the nuts in with Brummer wood filler (if you are using a nice feature piece of oak for instance) of general filler if you are going to paint the batten.. This should give you enough support as its only shear weight and the Evo-Stick product mentioned above is really good stuff. Good luck

Its a 1.6 Vtec SE Executive model with 21000 miles on the clock, Automatic Gearbox, every year it was MOT'd and serviced at Honda. He has owned it for numerous year, maybe even new but i cant be 100% sure. Its currently located in North London, i have no pictures as have not been there to take any since the funeral. I would rather this go to a good home with someone that is going to look after it, i know its stupid but it was my Uncles car and he loved driving it even though he did hardly any miles. It's difficult and although you wake up hoping that nature has claimed her to the great kennel in the sky, you have to do what is right for the dog. Once she starts to suffer it is too late. Although heartbreaking for all the time has come to let her lead this time! I really feel for you after losing two dogs in less than a year, but take solace in the fact that if there is an afterlife she will be there waiting. R

Hi all, I am thinking of going on holiday later this year, driving to Italy and was wondering if I were to see a gun that I liked how would I go about bringing it back to the UK? I will be taking my licence with me, so the buying shouldn’t be a problem, but: Do I have to pay duty on the gun as I am importing it in essence? Do I have to fill in many forms etc. to bring it into the UK? I presume I would have to declare the gun when I enter back into the UK. What is the legality of having the gun in the car for a few weeks whilst travelling? I will be travelling by car, however, there will be times where the car will be travelling overnight via Auto Train and thus not in my possession which means that someone could have access to the gun in the boot. On the flip side, I don't think the passengers of the TGV would be particularly happy with me getting on the train with a gun slip or case. Any help appreciated....

I think the point is not the education but the lack of consideration for the chick once they have "served their purpose". It’s up to the Teachers and the School in general to make sure that they have a solution other than "disposal" when the chick is no longer needed for educational purposes. You can’t teach children about making a life albeit a chick without the responsibility of looking after it or at least making sure of its welfare.

No not that kind!!!!!! A friend of mine is trying to save some chicks from being disposed of after a School project...... There are literally three days left to save these chicks after a school project. There are 5 girls and a tiny white rooster. They're a week old and unless she can get them rehoused they will be "disposed" of this Friday. Can anyone help home them??? Location is Manchester
