  1. Sticking to my words in my post near the top - I also put virgin veggie in and she loves it. Daihatsu Drivers Club
  2. Forget the land rovers and do what i did and go for a daihatsu fourtrak - i was advised by a defender specialist 4 years ago and havent looked back since - go onto daihatsu drivers website for further info or check out reviews - there is a fieldman version which is a commercial without rear seats and swb - fab motors and built to last ps they are a damn site cheaper and much more reliable but do your research first
  3. Yep roost shot a few last night, crops full of young clover
  4. If you are under a 50 yard wide flight line then you can decoy on anything, freshly ploughed, grazing, set aside, you name it. Atmospheric pressure around 28-29 inches mercury and falling etc. Not just young rape and stubble.

    What 4x4

Totally agree 100% - we have 6 of these in the family - top motor - built to last with Japanese reliability!!
  6. Kibworth shooting ground near Market Harborough have a regular gunsmith called Graham who is recommended.
  7. If you haven't got it already buy John Batleys Pigeon Shooting book 2nd edition and read and digest (it took me a few reads to get it all in). Best bit of kit you can buy for less than 20 quid! Teaches you all about field craft and understanding your quarry. John Batley shot proffessionally for 15 1/2 years and gained advice from the late great Archie Coates. I am also very impressed by Chris Green' floaters at around £45 each.
  8. Wondering if you were interested in splittin. I am after charging gear. Ta.
  9. I have had a CZ American in the .17 HMR for around 3 weeks now and enjoy it a lot . I've taken down 2 foxes at around 80 yards no problem at all as long as you go for the right place, which is front on just above the middle of the front legs, right into the engine room! They both fell flat to the floor instant kill. I wouldnt however exceed this range by much say 100 yds max and only front on. This little bullet really does break up well. I use the .222 for longer range stuff. The main use of my .17 is for the conies and crows though it does give a good bang without a moderator. Toying with getting it screw cut and proofed, but not sure how effective it will be? Anyone have experience please? I certainly would recommend the .17 to the collection and I do like the CZ range.
  10. i've just got 4 maran hens myself and love it! i grew up with chickens and have missed them! it doesnt take too much work to look after them and if you enjoy them it's a pleasure to look after them. I think everyone should have afew chickens in their back garden if size allows! go for it i say!
  11. I'm with you frank555. Someone even mentioned a rimfire? Definately not to be used for shooting into trees etc! I also I agree with earlier posts that at 15-20 yards a head shot is best. If you can't hit the head from that range then either give up or practise with targets until you are getting 1" groups at 30 yards!
  12. Me and the wife have just peed ourselves reading that! Very good and very very true! :*)
