  1. Looking for a small/medium 4x4. I shoot crows, pigeons on a large farm. Maximum mileage would be 10 miles each way. In the winter some of tracks are very muddy and uneven. There is only me and the shooting gear. A Jimny looks like a good option. Any other options ????? Max spend £8K
  2. My brother has a couple in his 18 x 12 workshop Over the moon with them.
  3. There is a nice looking Jimny on the net. Very cheap. Strange that is for sale in half a dozen different location in the country every day. Some people are as thick as mince.
  4. I could go to £500 max. At the moment I use a normal scope with a Red LED torch attached. I normally rest the air rifle on the top of the drivers window so nothing over tall would work.
  5. As the nights draw in the rats will become more prevalent. Can anybody recommend a reasonable priced night vision scope to go on my HW 100. I normally shoot around the farm from inside my Freelander, I cannot afford £1000 scopes.
  6. Last year I sold my BMW 135 through WBAC they knocked off £800 because the full service history was not done on the exact day it should have been. Thieves.
  7. Went out tonight and got quite a few. The rest will be gone in a week.
  8. Went out today lots of pigeons flying about definitely not interested in the decoys. And not on any defined flight line. Missed lots whilst sitting on my drum seat. So I decided to lift the nets and stand up to shoot, Definitely improved the kill rate. Does anybody else stand up to shoot.
  9. IMHO springers are not as accurate as PCPs. My HW100 is more accurate than my shooting, if I miss a target it's my fault not the rifles. I have a 12ltr 300 bar dive bottle which gives loads of refills and I can get the dive bottle refilled about 30mins from home. My only moan about the HW100 is the low shot count compared to the competition.

    Pellet drop

Next time I go back to the mill I will take my golf range finder to get some accurate distance measurements. I have been using Accupells as they seem to be very accurate. Thanks for the info

I would like add the mill makes animal feeds and nothing else.

    Pellet drop

What other options are there ? FAC air rifles would probably put holes in the roof sheets. Once the pigeons start to fly around the sheds they land on roof girders and steel work, these are easier to shoot but most migrate to the far end wall. As for hygiene I collect as many as I can. As for the Pigeons sat fouling all over the grain I would not consider a few dead ones left to rot would cause much problem.

    Pellet drop

One of my permissions is a grain mill which included two large storage sheds which are about 60 yards long. Feral Pigeons sit on the girders at the far end. Due to the huge piles of grain stored in the sheds I can only get to within 45 yards of the far wall. I have a sub 12 foot pound HW100 .177 that is more than capable of knocking the ferals down, but I'm to sure what the pellet drop is at 50 yards. I went there yesterday and shot quite few pigeons but missed loads as I cannot see where the pellet is striking the wall to judge the hold over. Could anybody suggest a decent scope for this type of work ?

    Boris on trial

Once a liar always a liar. Blamed everybody but himself. The sooner he is out of politics the better.
  15. North Yorkshire, I took the bottle into Pickering air guns this morning. They said several week and £50 - £100 as they need to send the bottle to Liecester for recertifying.
