  1. These are belting little cars. I bought one for the sister in law 6 years ago and it’s still going despite only having 1 oil change (which I did last year).

    Quite rightly so.

That is the only way Putin will win, by attrition. He will keep throwing meat into the grinder regardless of peoples opinions or views, as anyone apposing him conveniently falls out of high rise buildings.

I think the west is very vulnerable at the moment. When you look at how much kit and bodies the Ruskies have actually lost in the Ukraine war, yet haven’t scaled back their operations, it’s quite worrying. Putin looks for an excuse to have to “defend Russia” from NATO, and Russia is built of corruption, lies, passing the blame, and sheer man power. I am all for the UK spending as much coin as possible on defence and equipment, because you never know. All these countries popping off at each other are looking for weaknesses and opportunities to start a fight. But like said above, if conscription came in in this country, the wokes and the weirdos will hide under rocks while the large forces roll through.
  5. I found a period 80s AA badge for my 1986 Carlton. I have the above chromed AA badge in the garage but they’re 60s and the oldest car I have is 76 so I might put it on that.
  6. Russia denied shooting it down. as they do with EVERY shocking thing that happens over there. Just like blowing up that damn, and blowing up that church full of children. Russias strategy is to deny everything first. Then wait till the media calms down, then carry on blowing **** up.
  7. No you’re wrong. They’ve relocated their biggest technical call centre there.
  8. I’m surprised he didn’t fall from a high balcony window. But I’m also surprised he was even on the flight list. Not long ago he was in a camp keeping his head down, away from Putler and his hench men. So it’s a bit too obvious to be on a flight list surely?
  9. I still have my classic cars. bought this 1987 Red Opel manta in 2007 as a rolling shell and have made it my own spec. Originally a 1.8 GT, now a GTE looker with a C20XE engine, limited slip diff, bmw style 5 wheels and much more. then last year I bought this 1986 Carlton 2.2 Cd auto that has been sat for 15 years in a barn. Recommissioned it and use it regularly now. I do love my classic Vauxhall/Opel cars. I also wish I’d kept my series 3 Landrover ambulance but it was a pain in the *** and it went to America.
  10. Sounds like another convenient plan to get large SUVs out of the city! Price them out of it. Tax on stuff like that is over £700 a year now!
  11. I was at 60 Leek sqn from 2001 to 2006 ish, then rejoined 2493 Alsager sqn as a civilian instructor until 2019. Ditched it when covid hit and DBS checks were getting lost and messed up. Had enough of paperwork by then.
  12. CVI, (cherished Vehicle Insurance) got all my modern vehicles on a separate policy with them too.
  13. They sound like easier kind of days to be honest. You see a kid in the street now, you don’t know whether he’s going to knife you or mug you, or at least try. Crazy times.
  14. These weren’t any fancy sights. It was just a standard club rifle, which shot really nice if i do say so. Noted, there are probably better ones out there. This was sat at a bench with a rifle stand. So that’s probably why they’re such good groupings. Time will tell when I go for prone. I also had a go at air pistol, at about 10 metres. Needless to say it looked like I’d shot the card with a shotgun 🤣 When I was an Air Cadet, we used the number 4 SMLE for dry weapons handling tests. Unfortunately the .303 was out by the time I shot anything circa 2001/2. I aim to get my section 1 licence, so that one day I can target shoot a real .303 SMLE on a proper range again. There is a club near me that operates on an old army shooting range, unfortunately you have to know someone to get in.
  15. Great shooting. They were hard as nails pigeons though!!
