It can cause connection problems, I have the same problem, this is what I did (if its an external modem): Connect up your modem next to your phone socket. Run an Ethernet cable from the modem to the PC, this solves the problem, if its a wireless modem then your quids in! As for the surge protectors get the "SURGE GUARD" I have one which also does the telephone sockets. Cheap is not always the best with surge protectors, the more expensive the more amps they can deal with. I think mine has 25,000amp protection. If you take a look on the net you can get surge protectors that cover everything from sky dishes to stereo equipment.

Like I always say use a courier, at least everything is tracked and insured. I have an 18 tonne UPS lorry sitting outside which is loaded and picked up spot on 4:30pm every day, never had a problem with them. Its just receiving parcels which is a pain as most are delayed or lost, wish RM would pull their finger out.

I purchased a USB cable for my camera on the 7th October, I waited for several weeks but it never turned up so the company sent another one. Got a shock today opened up the mail and there was the USB cable franked on the 8th Oct. Thats almost 3 months on a first class stamp, lets hope the other 20 odd items which have gone walkies turn up soon!

I recently purchased some cartridges through JustCartridges and wasn't all that impressed. They hardly have any in stock, they never arrived next day even though I ordered before 3pm. Then when they did finally arrive the courier left them on the door step!! Ordered 32gms received 30gms, their explanation was "Sorry we haven't updated our catalog", just checked again still haven't updated. Very disappointing, wont be buying anything from them again.

The only way to remove that sort of thing is to do a full format and and re-install, otherwise you never know what they have planted. Could be a keystroke bug which can then find out your banking details etc.

I agree with berettaman1 on this one due to similar run ins with mods which I wasn't entirely pleased about, hope I dont get another b********* from them for saying that!
