  1. @ Trakker, are they Hoges grips on that Taurus? I shoot my mates .357 in Phoenix A and B disciplines. Apart from a bit of muzzle flip its lovely to shoot.
  2. Korn, see you on the other side. Next will be Distant sound of thunder - Pink Floyd
  3. Provisionally sold pending the usual.
  4. I have two 2 1/2" brass shell cases that used to be placed either side of my fireplace, we have changed the fireplace to one more modern and they don't really suit it anymore. They are about 9 1/2" tall and about 2 1/8" at the top tapering down to 2 1/2" at the bottom. They would probably polish up really nicely. There are a lot of stamping on the base so they have been used quite a bit. £20 the pair +postage? For sale on here as eGay decided they were dangerous and removed the listing, here is my response to them. eBay Listing Removed: Firearms, Weapons, and Knives (=PS &12363 JM171802777) Hiya, two harmless decorative pieces of brass are banned? Oh but hang on,220188179259 (rifle grenades) prove that they don't go bang, and have you done a search for Bayonet recently? Nanny state or what? I know all about the Criminal reduction bill in relation to the sale of weapons but I honestly cannot see anyone walking into a bank and attempting to rob it with an empty brass shell case, or attempting to mug someone with said brass casing. The only way it could be made into a weapon is to put it into a sock and beat someone over the head with it, which you can also do with a housebrick. Are we to ban building materials next? Remember when eBay was like an online car boot sale and a great fun place to be? Sadly due to over restrictive legislation those times are gone. Have a nice day before someone says its illegal. Kind Regards Paul D.Elliot
  5. @ Barrowboy, if you can organise something near you I am sure we can get the other Midland guys down there.
  6. I am glad someone posted a link to that clip, I had it on my hard drive a few years ago but lost it when it crashed. Still a classic clip
  7. I would be up for a few lessons. I can take three others from the Midlands if we need to travel a distance to get there. Company car / fuel card
  8. Nope, but I am not falling for "try the rocky mountain oysters, you will like them" again. If you are from the south, don't trust a waitress in Idaho Welcome to PW.

    oh well!

I reluctantly dragged myself in this morning
  10. Adaware is another good one. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php AVG antivirus is good and free. http://free.grisoft.com/ Mailwasher is the best thing ever for checking your emails for spam and viruses, lets you bounce and delete them before they reach your pc http://www.mailwasher.net/
  11. I am on the side of the police here. Anyone who waves around what might potentially be a gun in a threatening manor should be gunned down. It's called protecting the public. The law abiding public have more rights to protection from idiots than 1 idiot has the right to threaten the law abiding public. Several years ago the police shot dead a guy who held up my local Co-Op. He was care in the community and had decided that day he didn't want to take his meds. What he wanted to do instead was go into the local Co-Op and hold a knife to the managers throat and threaten to kill him. The police shot him dead. And good on them said everyone in our community, he was the local nutter and had glassed several people in the local pubs. Nothing stops someone re-offending like a bullet to the head And getting back on track, whether he was a legal or not, you don't wave guns around in public and expect to be told "now now sir, that's not very nice".
  12. I like the present Pope, I bet he finds it hard to remember to hold both arms skyward instead of just the right one though If you don't get this joke then listen to him speak

Are we the only nation where our countrys flag is deemed a symbol of racism?

    xmas cards

Ever noticed that the people who make these decisions are not the ones affected by it? They are never muslims asking not to celebrate christmas, they are never blacks complaining about gollywogs on jam jars, or baa baa black sheep. Do gooders, that's what is screwing up this country. Hippy tree huggers thinking that something might be slightly ever so taken the wrong way. Wasn't Hitler a vegetarian non smoking non drinker who banned fox hunting because it was cruel? Take away the incident with the jews and you can start to see some similarities with the Politically Correct crew.
  16. Why don't you read it then comment? Its like not voting and whinging about the government. @ Verminshooter29, I totally agree with you. It seems like we are the only two to read it so far
  17. On my Cosworth its £137 fully comp classic policy, £4000 agreed value and salvage retention, £200 excess and 4000 mile a year limit. Thats with RH insurance, and I am 41. On my Mondeo I have no idea, its a company car and if I bend it they fix it.
  18. Wouldn't it be easier to sell your one for cash and then go out a buy a springer? I have a .22 springer of no known origin with matching scope, no idea how much its worth but got to be at least £30. I will willingly offer this in a swap with yours :look:
  19. I first got into Pink Floyd about two years ago while driving back from Cardiff. It was dark and tipping down of rain with thunder and lightning, I was in a rush to get back to brum and Tracey put on Delicate sound of thunder as a joke due to the conditions. I slowed down and relaxed, I don't think I went above 60 mph all the way back. The only way to listen to Floyd in my opinion, dark thundery night, and a long drive home
  20. I can't help you with that but I loaded it onto my ipod ealier today and just before the second guitar comes in you can hear him clear his throat, sniff, then breathe out like a sigh. Never heard that before, even at window shaking volumes in the car.
