  1. Morning all, I have recently been contacted about a local permission where the land owner would like to me come and help dispatch a number of crows with my trusty 12 bore. I have been pigeon shooting before but never shot crows. I wondered if any of you kind folks could answer a couple of the below questions? 1. Ideal cartridge for crows 2. best method (Pattern of decoys, considerations for wind direction, placement of hide, general set up) 3. best times of day to set up/ start shooting 4. Best way to dispose of shot corvids/ crows afterwards 5. any general hints and tips from those of you that regularly control the crow population many thanks in advance!
  2. Currently available week day shooting, helping me out on a number of farms in the South Bristol area (Frome to Chew) Casual / regular shooting opportunity, mostly crows. Early mornings to early afternoon. Currently shooting circa 100 a week but no birds guaranteed. Out most week days subject to weather but initially offering 1 day a week (see how it goes) Require licence and insurance (evidence please) Expenses (circa £20 drinks / fuel) Fibre wad only. Ideally own decoy kit although I can help out to start with. Relaxed attitude, patience, ability to stay awake. Pm me if interested.
  3. Hello all, I was wondering if anyone knew of any books aimed at shooting crows/corvids? Or if anyone could give me some information on where or on what crops/fields/raptor decoy is best to shoot them for each different time of the year? Thanks

  6. Enjoyable video, I think these cameras are great you can almost see the lead he is giving birds. This would be a great training aid to let us see the shots we miss, and enjoy the ones we hit.
  7. Thought I would share my first pigeon decoying video with you. Hope it is interesting. http://youtu.be/zWq5otaB9AU
