  1. Hi All. I’ve got a few days near Newquay I’m hoping to try an hit some clays while there I’ve seen the north Devon ground are there any others in the area to check out? cheers in advance pete
  2. Recently shot at the EGG Club in Cyprus where they hav a layout called Sportline. Good fun, a cross between skeet and compact sporting. I can’t find reference to this anywhere on the Internet except on the EGG site. https://www.episkopi-garrison-gunclub.com/abt-sport-trap-and-sport-line.html Basically, two traps, one throwing high, the other low, set out as per the picture below. Does anyone have any more info on this discipline or is it something the club have come up with?
  3. Hi Guys, I've shot clays a few times and I've decided it's a sport I would like to get into. I'm from North Yorkshire and I was wondering if anyone knew of any clubs in the area (rather than just experience day type venues) I found one in Barwick-in-Elmet which seems excellent (£35 for 50 clays including instructor, gun hire and cartridges). You turn up for 3 of the instructor led sessions and then you can become a member if they think you're competent (I'm not a certificate holder) This is the kind of thing I'm after, and it's a very good option, but I was wondering if there's something very similar a little closer to home that someone on here may know of? In due course, I'd like to become a certificate holder and a club closer to home would mean that it's easier to go down the range on a Sunday if I get board if I do eventually own my own firearm/become a certificate holder. Cheers! Ian
  4. Hello, Im Kyle. I live in hythe near Southampton and have recently got into sporting clays. Currently shooting a bettinsoli supersport. I shoot at spitfire at the moment and was wondering if anybody knows of any 'hay bale' cheap as chips shoots or clubs near me that are friendly and not too serious? I've found myself catching the bug, big time, and need to make it cheaper!!! On another note, Im also looking for a little project to have a go at restoring.. sxs, pump, bolt action, martini etc if anybody knows of anything cheap? Thanks
  5. Hi all! First time poster on this forum, just wanted to say hi! Am fairly new to clay shooting (started in Feb this year) and am really enjoying weekends out on the clay grounds. I started off going to Park Farm (Phil Sanders) outside Ombersley which is a fairly nice ground but limited on days offered. Recently started going to Griffin-Lloyd shooting ground in mid wales and have found it to be a really good course layout and open 7 days too! My question really is, have any of you seasoned shooters got any hidden gem clay shooting grounds around shropshire / Worcestershire / Gloucestershire that you might be willing to divulge on this forum? Would also be nice to meet some more guns with similar interests in the local area too (I am based around 20 miles from Kidderminster in south shropshire area)........ God that sounds likes dating request! Anyways, any advice or tips to new shooter welcome! Thanks all Andy

  7. I need some advice in organising a team charity clay shoot for a group of farmers and others. Some will be experienced, likely to be a few novices too. Assume 8 teams of 4 (not sure what typical team size is). How many clays per person/ team, how long should it take and how much should it cost? Don't know much about clay shooting myself so will need to find a suitable venue, or someone with experience, insurance, equipment etc..to run it. Can anyone advise on this and also suggest a venue, between Bridgnorth and Wolverhampton.? We are farmers ourselves so could hold it on our premises.
  8. Hi, I'm looking for someone to go clay shooting. Nothing formal, just a relaxed day at the clay grounds. thanks
  9. Hi There, I have an Acorn Clay Trap for sale. It has hardly been used and is in good condition. It was purchased brand new a few years ago but i haven't really used it much. This device can be operated with just one person and has a long cable for triggering clays. I also have 500 standard sized clays that will throw in aswell. I have included some pictures, please excuse the quality and lack of professionalism. I am looking for £260 ONO. Any questions please ask. Thanks
