  1. This is a one off cerakoted side by side. With coated woodwork. It was made as an example to show off the technique for a display. I got it to use on the marsh and rainy days because it should take the harsh environment better than an untreated gun. It shoots well but I prefer my semi auto. 2 3/4 inch double trigger non ejector, full and half choke. 28 inch barrels. Cheap tight gun for a bit of fun or to scratch the side by side itch... and looks mint with the new finish. The finish cost more than the gun is up for! I shot it on the clays last week and it was faultless. This didnt sell last time round at £125 so i kept it.. However I have now reduced it to £100 as looking to free up some funds to buy a pcp air rifle. No postage sorry. Southport/Preston area happy to meet at local ground if a trial required.
  2. For sale is a Bignotti Side by Side 12g shotgun. £60 Double trigger non ejector Great condition, not getting used so happily to sell it to someone who will. Will upload pictures shortly Location - Northants, nr Daventry Cert holders only
  3. Selling my Matador that I bought as a project. Stripped and refinished wood. Single trigger (selectable), choked half and full, semi pistol grip stock and beavertail forend, raised ventilated rib and the most powerful ejectors I've ever seen. Original AYA butt plate. LOP 14 3/4 inch. Barrels 28 inches, chambers 2 3/4 inches, bores immaculate. Fires both barrels simultaneously if selected to fire the right (most open) barrel first! Works fine if selected to fire left barrel first. This issue is beyond my repair capabilities and it's not economically viable to pay to have it rectified. These single trigger Matadors seem to command a premium so with the issue it has £150, a bargain for anyone who has the skills. Located near Banbury
  4. E J Churchill Boxlock Ejector Built approximately 1895 as number 1 of a pair, appears to be in good condition for its age. Engraving is worn in areas but the action is tight and crisp. Automatic safety, ejectors, sleeves nitro proved barrels and 2 1/2 inch chambers. Gold inlaid safe and 1 markings. Only selling as trying to make some room in the safe. £450 Ono North Lincolnshire Any questions just ask.
  5. At the minute I have a Birmingham Boxlock (Treble-grip action/crossbolt) which will at least need tightening. If it's in need of rejointing what's the rough ball park figure for such a job. I know gunsmith prices vary, but i'm curious what a good rejoint will be in different areas? Thanks!
  6. Hi Folks, Thanks for letting me join. Just received my shotgun license and have started to acquire a couple of shotguns. I recently picked up a couple of sbs from an auction and one does need some restoration. It is safe and sound but suffering from external rust, a couple of small dents in one barrel. Also there is some staining of the boxlock action due to moisture. Still can't complain as it only cost me 1.30 pence. Sorry my keyboard doesn't have the pound sign. Anyway I am looking for some recourses to help with the restoration which will be a winter project. Websites, videos or articles all would be welcome. Many thanks in advance, Lee
  7. AYA No.2 removable sidelock 12 bore side by side shotgun 26inch barrels with concave rib, 1/4 and 1/2 choke, colour case hardened removable actions decorated with scrollwork, chequered stock with white metal escutcheon for initials Dimensions: 15 1/2" LOP fitter with Silver’s pad. Obviously this can be shortened very easily 2 ¾ inch chambers The shotgun is in very good / near perfect condition, with nice wood. The barrels ring when tapped. There are no dents or scratches whatsoever. Unfortunately, I have to let this beauty go because my centrefire obsession has taken over my safes. Collection in Warrington, Cheshire, or RFD at cost. £1050 ONO
  8. Hi guys; looking for any advice/history/links etc to find some information on my english made bozard. It is stamped with no1, would this indicate it was a pair? Also it has been resleeved, very well, does this affect its desirability?
  9. It took a while but Atkin Grant & Lang today confirmed for absolutely sure that the side by side championship will be on 12th September. They told me the date a couple of weeks ago, but now they have the details on their website so they must really mean it. I've been polishing my Baikal in preparation. Anyone else going? http://www.agl-uk.com/events/british-side-by-side-championship#.U77IHfldUwM
  10. Hi all I am in the middle of restoring a old Italian side by side shotgun and I was looking some help. Here is what I know about it first. Made in the Gardone region and proof marks date it to 1962. Barrels are 28" and are choked for 1/2 and Full. Double triggers, with the rest trigger cast to the left for left handed shooters. Action is fully engraved and had pigeons on both sides and a sliver pigeon on the top of the barrels and IDEAL engraved on the rib. What I would like to know is the following. Value: how much would this be worth (yes it still fires ok) 2: with it being a left handed gun does this make it more rare? And 3: any other history on the gun or ways of contacting a company linked with it. Thanks very much.
  11. Hi, I'm having trouble finding out anything about a shotgun a friend owns in South Africa. It is a side by side 12 bore double trigger hammer gun, fairly old and battered (he uses it to shoot Warthogs in the bush) with the usual proof marks on barrel and action but no makers name anywhere, although it does look like there is a "Made In Belgium" on the underneath of the barrels! He asked me to find out what I could about it on my return home to the UK, and I told him not to use it anymore as it is very loose because the locking cross bolt is missing, his answer was "I've been shooting it like that for years!"........Africaans?? The Flickr link has 9 other photos of medium resolution (I have higher resolution if needed) and any help would be most appreciated. Many thanks in advance, Dave http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream
