Drilled wheat + harvested Barley

Me and dad went out today to the farm I shot yesterday and there were quite a few birds about on the field but the wind was making it hard to decoy them and we shot the field until 12pm when the farmer called us to say that there was large groups of pigeons going on to his rape, so we packed up after shooting 53 pigeons and we went to the farm to find no pigeons anywhere

It was too late for us to go back to the other farm so we kept looking around our main farm and found a small flightline going over one of our harvested Barley fields that had been undersown with grass.

We sat on the main farm track with the truck as our hide and kept shooting the birds until the flightline dried up and we finnished with 54 pigeons.

So total for the day was 107 + 2 rabits :)

First are the pics from the drilled wheat field

My Nana's dog lives on them + a couple of friends dogs eat them. It saves them money and my nana makes some great cakes for us to take shooting lol so all is good :hmm::lol:

If we have a really big day 150+ we will take them to the game dealer (that is if they are taking them).

Depnds on the weather and how good we are shooting lol

On a good day like yesterday I shot 43 pigeons, 1 crow and one dove for 52 catridges. But on a very windy day during the winter where we are taking every shot we can at all sorts of ranges we generally work on 2 cartridges per bird so a 50% average.

But we have had our bad days just like everyone else :good:

Hi Merseadavid i noticed from your pics that you are using a stealth net hide, Iam thinking of renewing my twenty year old net with one of these so was just wondering how you are getting on with it,

Regards R C Power

Hi mate, it is a great net and blends in well and it is the only net I use now. It is good because you can see through it and the birds cant see you :good:

I would highly recommend it to anyone ;)
