lowlander
when i was coming home from shooting today i was looking at the can of bisley silicone gun il that we use to clean our shotguns, and noticed that on the back it said "do not swallow, if swallowed seek medical advice" then i thought that because we use it to clean inside the barrels is it safe to eat what we shoot, as the lead would have touched it and therefore we'd have swallowed it. so is the game ok to eat or is it just me being paranoid  lowlander
David BASC
Relax, the volume of oil on pellets is so tiny it will do not harm at all. David

Imperfection
I think you'd ingest more oil and chemicals from standing next to a busy road for 20 minutes than lead shot which has passed through a gun barrell in a split second. George1990
I think the fact the toxic lead has touched the meat would be more of a worry
MC
Do you really leave that much oil in your barrels before you fire? Personally I have never left oil in any gun barrel, it is an accident waiting to happen and completely unnecessary.
