Riothedog
Boresnake. Consistancy equals accuracy and viccy verky ~ once ever 10 rounds or so. RTD
peejay
when you notice the accuracy fall a bit, then clean it--works for me.
Big Dog
my mate reckons the dirtier the better. fert I once read in Shooting Sport that if your dirty gun seems to shoot better when dirty it is most likely that the barrel is worn and the dirt collection just make a bad gun seem to shoot better. A good gun and clean will always shoot better. Don't shoot the messenger
Gemini
Shouldn’t have thought anyone could have owned a .17hmr long enough to have worn the barrel out. G.M.
AndyCM
When I first got my .17hmr (just over a year ago) I got carried away with cleaning. I think it does benefit a new barrel / breaking in (but what do I know ). After the first 100+ shots I eased up on the cleaning and it stays accurate a lot longer than I expected. I use a bore snake (there ain't much spare room in that barrel) and it works ok - then it takes a few rounds to get the accuracy back. My gun seems to like a dirty bore (CZ452 American heavy barrel).
