I am hoping to get an F.A.C in the next few months. I like using the clubs Anschutz B/A but they seem to be quite pricy. I really need to keep the costs down, any recommendations? I believe CZ and BRNO are good and I have seen them with scopes for £150 or so,would these be in decent nick at this price?

Thanks for any help on this

Cheers Old Man.At the moment I am shooting targets at 60 yards or so with mixed results but have been using different ammunition each time and it was really windy on Sunday.I got a tight group but with a good few well off target. When I get the cert and am up to it I want to be knocking off crows and rabbits on the farm. Long term ambition is to have a .223 but 1st things 1st,am learning all the time.

The old CZ Bruno is still a very useable and effective rifle.

I shoot with an old geezer who still pops bunnies out to 80 yards with his, and it's probably older than me, and it groups well with Eley subs at sixty yards.

I think he paid £100 for it.

Thats right up my street,cheers!

I can highly recommend the cz/brno-had mine for years and still looks/shoots like new.The ZKM452 is the one to go for in any guise-use RWS high velocity or ELEY subs and you cant go wrong. dont forget to include everything in your application i.e. moderater + expanding amunition (if still applicable) and plenty of rounds.

Used the clubs CZ semi auto today and quite liked that too apart from the too short stock. Those links show I dont have to shell out too much which I like. Will stick to bolt action however after what I have read plus a few mis feeds today.Am finding .22 a cracking little calibre for learning on,not that i have much to compare to that is. Thanks chaps.

The 22LR is probably the most essential caliber in the world. Millions have grown up shootig and learning how to shoot with one. They are cheap to go out plinking with. They can be mm accurate. They are cheap as chips to buy and as long as you don't break it in half by falling on it or let the barrel rust in an old cabinet it will last forever. You can't shoot one out unless you are trying really hard. Will a 22LR do everything? Not quite. But if you had to pick one gun to be left with for the rest of your life, you'd not go hungry by picking the 22LR.

Thanks

Rick

CZ/Brno is a great rifle maker. cheap and accurate.

get the sak mod not the parker hale as ive the parker hale for my .22lr and its a ****** to clean with all the baffels and all the sak is a beller mod all round

just make sure the crown is not damaged on a second hand rifle, its possible to recrown but expensive.

your .22lr will soon be your best friend cheap and efficiant. especially with peanut butter
