Moderators (sound that is!)

Recommended Posts

Just read an article that says you should remove mod before putting rifle in cabinet, as gunge from mod will slowly trickle down into barrel and foul same if not removed. What do you think/do? :good:

Also read that if you remove mod, sights will be slightly out next time as it never refits in exactly same place! :welcomeani: Again, whats your experience/opinion?

FAC air: never touch it.

Rimfire: Loosen it to 'crack the joint, nip it back up then store it muzzle down.

17 rem: Remove and dismantle it, clean out any excess gunge, leaving the components on the top of a radiator. Clean what I can get from the barrel and leave Hoppes 9 in till next time I open the cabinet and clean it again.
