derek.snr
got the first fox with my x bolt tonight ,went out early 8pm back home 9.45 and its 25 mins each way.lamped one but it would not present a shot was walking off ,its only a smallish place , seen a set of eyes would not come in ,trotted off along a ditch, steadied myself on the sticks ,it paused ,dropped in its tracks at 160 m , those 100 grn sp , are a bit heavy but certainly do the job.only sighted the gun in with 100 grainers as off to go red hind stalking next week, and spoke to the farmer today who said he had lost some ducks the previous night so no time to rezero with lighter ammo. toka_shigazu
Great news Derek and a cracking shot by all accounts!!!! ..some more good news for you...was out this afternoon checking the area and found these in the ditch at the bottom field where it narrows by the railway track [coming from the neighbouring farm]...they were fairly fresh going by the rainfall...so it look as if victim number two is out and about waiting for some of the same treatment!!! Catch up soon!! ATB
