MerseaDavid
Here are some pics froms last weeks shoot and this weeks shoot. Last week we struggled most of the day to get any birds because of the weather but we went down to one of our main roosting woods about 3pm and had some fantastic shooting for an hour and a half. Dad shot 26 pigeons and 2 crows I shot 18 pigeons, 1 squirrel, 1 dove and 7 crows

MerseaDavid
Today we were shooting over one of our rape fields that the farmer said the birds had started to hit and when we got to the field there was already a couple of hundred birds on the field and alot more in the trees. We put the magent out and a few decoys but the birds would not come in even after trying a few different positions with it and we decided to take the magnet in and straight away the birds came into the pattern. We were shooting 2 rape fields at the same time, we were sitting in a small copse that the birds were sitting in before going on to the field and we put decoys on both rape fields and some birds on the grass in the copse because some birds were sitting there earlier eating some berries that had blown down from the bushes. We shot the field until 15:20pm and we ended up with 69 pigeons, 2 doves, 1 pheasant and 1 crow. We then went to the wood we shot last week and shot another 22 pigeons and 3 crows as they came into roost Total for the day = 91 pigeons, 2 doves, 1 pheasant and 4 crows
MerseaDavid
Some of the birds we shot. By the time we had collected them all it was too dark to get a good pic of the full amount

apache
Hot dogs for lunch? Mechanically reclaimed meat with all that lovely wild game. I am disappointed! Good shooting mind!
jondoe
Excellent pics, good shooting. Might I recommend some camo tape for the gun?
malkiserow
good to see some of your land etc. Interesting that in a couple of shots, the camo is good but the gun itself stands out from the bushes.
MerseaDavid
Cheers guys By the time the birds see the gun they are dead I used to put the tape on my old baikal but I dont want to put it on my Beretta because I use it for clay shooting aswell and it is a pain to take it off. MC
I recognise those cartridge cases, They are the same as the ones in the layby at Salcott. It's about time you took them home rather than leaving them in the countryside :good: :( Edited November 22, 2009 by MC
