poorpeet
Hi, Just bought a Hatsan but need some guidence on carts for it. Am I right in thinking that being gas opperated the load is not so important? I have been using 21gm Comp x's in the o/u and still have a few boxes left. Will these be ok or do I need to go up to 28's? I'd appreciate any help. Pete
henry c
Why dont you try them and see, if you got some spare boxes anyway!
PaulABF
I've never fired anything bless than 28g in mine but they worked fine. I've only ever had one mis-feed and that was using a 67mm long 30g.
EastSussexLad
I have a 3" and it does not like and 65mm cartridges at all, cycles 70mm cartridges all day long.
bicykillgaz
mine only ever jammed on 65mm 28g no6, so i always used 32g no6 67mm after that and no5 or BBs and never had a another problem, i think it was the length that was the problem though not the load weight. poorpeet
Ah, Cheers for that. I will try the 21's to see but I didn't want to get all the way to the shoot only to find that what I have won't work, or buy some 28's only to find that the 21's were fine. So whatever I get, I need to make sure they are 70mm if at all possible? Any idea why the shorter cart causes problems?

Cookiemonsterandmerlin.
21s will just not create the correct amount of gas to make it cycle . As other poster say I have never used less than a 67mm 30s but most of the time 32s. Never jams regards
TonySmith
Mine will not cycle 21g loads, lowest I can is 24g. ATB Tony

Edward
Mine liked 24g - 57g but had to be 67mm and over
poorpeet
Thanks for the advice. I bought some No8 28grm fibre wad 70mm today. My local gun shop are doing them for £119 per 1000 at the moment. Bargain!
poorpeet
Just in case any one's interested. I took it out today. It cycled the 21 gram ely firsts without any problem.
