Lloyd90
I took mine out like 3 days after. I also took her out before to remote areas. I think it really depends on the area you live in.
apache
After the 2nd injection my vet told me i could take her out the next day Absolutely not! If you go and read the data sheets it is surprising how few actually state when the puppy can socialise. Nobivac, Canigen & Duramune do not state when puppies can mix. Eurican say 14d after second vaccination and states 2nd vacc not until puppy is 12 weeks. Procyon say 4 weeks after primary course for protection for lepto and caninae adenovirus. Using basic scientific principals we would need at leaast 7 days but 14 days would be better. The puppy can mix with other vaccinated dogs before it has completed the course, but shouldn't go out in public or mix with unvaccinated dogs (or dogs who's vaccine has lapsed). I was just going on my vets advice
Tom&Dexter
Its a balance between socialising and being coverd, meeting other dogs that are coverd is fine and encouraged, (How many people have puppys and other dogs ?) The local park would best be avoided till fully coverd but nothing stoping you taking them out try your vet they may well orginise puppy partys where pups that have had there first jab but not the second can meet up and have a play and start basic training Good luck with the pup and get some pics up
