Hey all

Im a 16 yr old lass from Rutland and I love all things country! Would like to start ferreting and netting wabbits and was wondering if anyone had any tips because im bound to make the classic mistakes!

Oh, and if any experienced countrymen live in the area and wouldnt mind showing me the ropes, i would gladly accept.

(when i said experience, and showing me the ropes, i obviously mean with ferreting and that :D )

Much of what you need to know is best shown to you, in person.

There must be someone in your area that keeps and works ferrets that can show you the basics.

I'm not sure I would want my daughter arranging to meet someone she didn't know, off the Internet, you can't be too careful.

Also remember keeping ferrets is like most pets, there is a level of committment regarding, cleaning, feeding exercising etc.

I've kept ferrets before, but never been ferreting before. I shoot, and hunt and that but the only people i know who keep ferrets for flushing rabbits are really weird old men who I wouldnt trust with a broomstick :/

None of my family know how to neither which is a pain. The main reason why I want to get into it is because I love cooking and theirs nothing better than fresh rabbit! I make do with butcher shop ones at the moment but would love to go get my own :D

Thanks for the concern Cranfield/magman, If I find anyone in the area who is willing to teach me, I'll make sure i bring my big brother along :(
