dead-eye-dick
 Fri:- After a mate let me down to go flying I decided to take the gun and my new magnet to a newly combined field, Arrived late but just caught the end of the evening flight. managed 4 in the 1 1/2 hours. Magnet worked well birds came in close for a look....Then fell out of the sky and laid on there back!!!!!!! Sat:- decided to have another bash, as you may have read from an earlyer report, birds swaying off 80 yards out, only managed 6 in 3 hours ........abit dissapointed... maybe magnet put them off as i had used it night before... Deako
managed 130 birds on a barley stubble..........set up by 0945 but only had six birds by 4.pm...............all shot between 4 to 7 p.m. When its hot, afternoons are much better shooting. Every birds crop was empty as well, hardly a bird moved in a five mile radius of our field all day, they just left it as late as possible. Cranfield
Nice one Deako, thats something we should all remember. Often I think I,m going home, when I should be arriving. When I was working, some of my best shooting was after work, from about 6pm onwards.
sutty
Had a go on monday evening, we got there about 4 pm but not much moving around ,setup on some stubble but drew a blank. We put it down to it being too hot and humid they certainly wern't interested in decoys or the magnet . went home kicked the cat
