Magwitch
When we arrived at the farm this morning it was disappointing to see a layer of frost as it was our intention to give the dogs a good run around the dyke's and stubble fields, but a quick change of plan saw us walking the long marsh grass down by the old sea wall. We travelled light with just a couple of pugs and the spade as we were only out for a Sunday morning mooch. Smokey had the first rabbit of the day which lifted from the long grass beside the creek and was making for the safety of the sea wall, only to be taken with a superb strike as the rabbit was making good his escape. We ferreted a few more small buries five and six holes and most of the rabbits obliged by bolting with only a few that had to be dug to. This morning could not have been better...........................10 Rabbits and 1 miscellaneous.
