Frenchieboy
Is that Paul Lane Rifle Club you joined Terence, they are only a couple of miles out of Huddersfield? I was up there a few weeks ago and they had a pre-owned 308 all scoped up and ready to go quite cheaply. It might be worth your while having a look as you may well be allowed to try before you buy if they still have it mate!

Dekers
i joined a club as i have no land to shoot on been promised some when i get more experince all the calibres i asked for as classed as target rounds if 4 club use only they wont let you have 17hmr as not a target round This is where differences in regions and knowledge comes in, the HMR was not designed as a target round (neither were many others) but FMJ HMR is available and there is absolutely no reason why it should not be used for target if you so desire...and it will be pretty good at it!!
