Cosd Posted March 16, 2010 Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) Doc, 8 poles what you building, a shooting hide or a tent for Chipperfield Circus. In my opinion, there isn't very much that can't be done with 4 poles in the way of hides for a single shooter, even a roof hide, to do this though you would need a second net; Some clamps are also very useful to hold the net in various situations. 4 poles is the norm I think....... smithy73 Posted March 18, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 18, 2010 cheers lads,i should have mentioned i am only using an air rifle,on land 50 feet from my front door,which is at the bottom of a valley.Its my house a road then walk down an embankment onto the land,the other side of the valley is forestry commission,but a small river seperates both.Anyway i have only lived here 10 months,and there is a definate flight path that crows are using,right up the valley in front of my house,so crow decoys are on order and an owl decoy,Theres also jays the odd magpie and pigeon and lots of rats.Thanks for the replys appreciated.
