Ozzy Fudd
just picked up the moderator for the .22lr/.17hmr from the shop. got back to the office and when i looked at it a bit more it says on the box "this silencer has been designed and manufactured for air rifles only" :o its not a problem to go change it, but is there any point walking in shouting the odds if itll work ok on a .22lr and a .17hmr? ps just pointing out i know sweet ** about moderators, this is the 1st iver ever owned
al4x
think I'd call daystate before using it, odds are there won't be a problem and its just on there to cover their backs about selling it off ticket for airgun use but you never know
bobt
a mod for a rimfire needs to be on a licence. not so for air rifles.

Ozzy Fudd
thanks everyone, rang daystate and they told me the mod would definitely not work on a 22lr or 17hmr nipped back to the shop and got it changed for a wildcat (?), not too worried about the type but i made sure its got 22lr / 17hmr stamped on the side thanks! Dekers
thanks everyone, rang daystate and they told me the mod would definitely not work on a 22lr or 17hmr nipped back to the shop and got it changed for a wildcat (?), not too worried about the type but i made sure its got 22lr / 17hmr stamped on the side thanks! The Cub I hope...(not up to much but cheap...actually it isn't that cheap, I've seen it at £45 in one place), certainly a better overall bet than £125 Whisper, but it does at least have .17 and .22 variants!! Each to their own. ATB! PS SAK is definately better than the Cub, I have done side by side tests!! Edited March 16, 2010 by Dekers
