no4 mk1.

been looking for around 9 months for a nice one at a sensible price and one came up this week in kent.

collected it this morning and a very happy boy. :o

will probably add another month to the silent treatment as well so a double bonus. :o

only room for 1 more before i need a new cabinet. :o

Is the magizine welded shut to only be a single shot?

no.......... i expected it to be but its not. was very surprised when i pushed the top and it moved.

the magazine has been restricted to only allow 2 cartridges to be put in so in theory its a 3 shot

and its welded in place so not removable any more.

haven't tried firing / cycling it with cartridges in the magazine and i'd be surprised

if it works very well like that but will have to try it.

if it ends up only working single shot i'm not at all bothered. i thought it would be anyway.

has been reprofed and is on sgc. proof marks on magazine, and look quite recent.

will have to investigate and see if i can find out date of re proof.

That's a beaut! who cares if the magazine might/might not work, it's a piece of history

treasure it

as i said before, e fully expected the magagine plate to be welded so it didn't move at all.

was surprised to say the least that it did.

i was only expecting it to be single shot so if it is 3 shot it will be a bonus.

looking forward to taking it out next weekend to give it a try.

recon it may well be the ideal tool for a bit of vermin control down my workshop. :hmm:

that will justify buying it to the misses

will definately look after it, took long enought to find a nice condition one.

now got to find a nice bayonet for it..........................

paid £295 for it, from a dealer.

did manage to get them to put in 2 boxes of cartridges as well, only just though :) .............it all helps.

i was happy with the price anyway, been looking for a fair/good condition one for a while and they normally go

for around £400, and they've not been as nice condition.

i dont really know much about the different models but i think its one of the more common ones, and i think

the earlier ones fetch a bit more.

definately a keeper though.

got to get a bayonet for it now :hmm:

Why, are they so innacurate you need to bayonet the bunnies?

Seriously though, a very nice looking rifle shotgun ;)
