Anni
Went to the Gunshop today to stock up on Carts for the Essex Masters. Made the mistake of having a nosey at the guns spotted the Xplor and told myself to walk away. But some sort of Teretts thing made me ask to have a closer look Now that is a nice feeling semi auto. Someone please tell me there a load of rubbish. I can feel a trade in coming on

activeviii
best gun i have ever seen, light, swingable, good looking, all carts fit it, from 410 up to 4 bore. its a must have gun of the year. but its a load of rubbish to grow sweet-peas up so you wouldn't like it Phil
HW682
Like someone else mentioned on a similar thread...I have been thinking of treating myself to one of these and was waiting for the synthetic/camo version to come out. Now I have seen the Browning Maxus review in this months Sporting Gun though. Obviously fit and feel etc would be the deciding factor - but there doesn't seem much to choose between them on paper. Anybody seen the Maxus in the flesh? or even better been able to compare the two side by side? HW682

Delbert
Well thats a pleasant change I've read Sporting Gun for over 30 years ( on and off) and I cannot remember a gun review dismissing a weapon as garbage so I tned to take a quantity of salt with them.BTW not all semi's have one barrel it used to be an option on the dearer guns to be supplied with an alternative barrel for different disciplines. RogerH
You pays your money and you takes your choice... http://www.sportinggun.co.uk/guns/435125/B...gun_review.html For every bad review there's usually a good one. Unless of course it's for a Remington 105cti... I'm going to try one eventually, and if it suits me I'll buy it. That's free choice. We all have it... berettaman
Urika 2s dont get tatty . Harnser . Give it time Harnser, once those small dings start to accumulate, personally i think its the worst finnish beretta have ever dreamt up,its no more durable than an egg shell and you cant repair it yourself its cracks like egg-shells aswell mark my words
dave1419
Hello ANNI,I HAVE Had a a400 for about 4 weeks now and i have found it to be a very well finished semi auto,it has a proper walnut stock and forend and is very pointable.it is the lightest semi that Beretta have made, and the kick-off certainly works.have tried many different cartridges through it and not once has their been any problems. As for the colour of the action-its fine for me,but may not suit other people.i can remember years ago that beretta brought out an over/under that was all the colours of the rainbow,[a model called a collection i think]but people still bought them.go buy the a400 if you have the dosh, nicely finished gun.only one downside-only 3 chokes.------good shooting------dave
