f.a.c.sam
I've got the standard beretta plastic one that came with my silver pigeon S. It's as thin and hard as anything, you might as well butt your shoulder up to the stock the feel of the recoil is that bad. I took it off straight away and got a gel tech one fitted, very wise move. If you send me your address i'll post it off for you thats if its the same size as a 686e one?
tweedledee
is the gel tek as snaggy as the rubber one?
BlaserF3
I have a gel tek on my Urika and it's quite smooth at the top so that it does not catch on your clothes.
BigG
I have used the gel tec would say it is a bit better plus for only £30 worth a try. Is the gun too long when mounted have you got 2 fingers from nose to back of your thumb? Rgds G
Gordon R
As Blaser F3 says, the best ones have a plastic insert at the top to prevent snagging. Cheap fix is to coat the top and edges of your pad with varnish (I use ignition sealer - which is a plastic see through coating)
utectok
If you get a geltec which IMHO are excelent get a smooth one as there are textured ones too! I don't think a SP (game) butt pad will fit a sporting stock btw. Straight shooting will
jimmyb79
I have a kickeez with a thin patch of leather glued over the top of it. By far the best pad I've ever used and the leather stops any snagging.
