went out on saturday morning for a wee look around my shoot .set of at 4.45am to a lovely sun rise god a love being out at this time of the morning (noramblers ,dog walkers ,horses ,).had a look around a few bits and seen some nice bucks but none gave a safe shot :good: so decided to have a look in a small wood that has a wheat field in the middle of it it was about 6.15 am

stalked through the wood and just before i got to the wheat field a doe ran out from a thickit to my left and stood and looked at me for a few seconds before ;) slipping of onto the wood (please please dont bark ) she did,nt .as i got to the field witch it only about 150yards long and 300 wide (hardly worht the while sowing it you would think)i saw a young buck walk out of the field and onto the track i was he was on only 50yrds away .

he looked right at me and my heart sank he,s seen me and will bolt any second but he stood fast and then started eating with not interest in me what so ever so i too the shot and he dropped dead on the spot . not a very big buck but a buck all the same ladder weight 33lbs

i was home for 7 30.am and breakfast on the table as i came in :good::yes: what a great way to spend a saturday morning :hmm::lol:
