A quick message to philr who can't make the North v South shoot as he and Mrs philr are contesting the English Open (and GB Selection shoot) at Southern Counties. I know they are BOTH chasing a place in the team to shoot the World Championship in Universal Trench.

To be fair this is the only reason anyone has put forward (other than financial) for not appearing at Hodnet that I have had sympathy with, as I told my daughter, it probably won't be your only wedding and I'll be back for the evening do!! Trying for the national team has to take precedence, there will be other years (hopefully) for a PW meet on this scale.

Thank you Mr P and other contributors, your kind comments brought a tear to my eye - really . Cocked up the bit about the English Open, Wifey told me we shot it earlier in the month that's what age does to you Still off to Southern Counties for the selection shoot though.

 

Let's hope our aim is true this weekend whether we're Southerners or Northerners. I'll have a pint in my favourite real ale watering hole in Dorchester tomorrow night to celebrate the Southern victory though.
