hi all

been out today on some new land (well normal farmer different fields) had a look yesterday and sure enough loads of pigeons all over 3 fields. the farmer rang me to say i needed to get down to these fields and get shooting.

set up 2 hides myself in one and a friend in another, well i set the pattern up when we got there at 8.00am and put the magnet out as we were walking back to the hide they were landing next to the magnet.

got settled and shot a couple of birds and then NOTHING (just as old rooster warned me  today was too still ) the birds disapeared about 800 of them we waited and waited but they never returned.

after 2 hours without a bird i decided to check all the other fields and sure enough they were blue with birds but i wasn't going to move as i don't beleave in chasing the birds around the fields so all in all a bad day

anyway what i am planning on doing is going with more guns when the weather gets better, thats where you lot come in.

if you are interested in helping me out on abot 300 acres of rape then please pm me. only sensible guns please i do not know when it will be but if i have got some names and if you wish phone numbers then i can contact you when i know.

all guns will need to be basc members and must turn up if you say you will, the shooting will be in the kegworth area, dogs will be allowed if well trained

please state your level of experiance in the pm's

cheers shawn

Shawn, if you use Cranfields methods, ie, flags on the other fields etc. you may spook them enough to keep them airbourne. It could all go tits up though, scare them so much that they **** off all together!

Experiment and find out, gain the knowledge, learn the game

LB good luck
