Gene Hunt
Hi all, I have read on here that alot of people have there insurance included in there BASC membership (Other organizations are available), can you get an insurance policy to cover you without joining an organization and do many people do this and if so how do people rate these polices and are they widely accepted when people are asked for proof of insurance? Thanks,

Paul223
I've recently been looking at the sacs site, quite impressed with the pricing, a half decent firearms dept too http://www.sacs.org.uk/ click on the application form to see prices still not as cheap as cc3 but at least they do a bit to help the sport too to be fair to BASC they have worked quite hard after the cumbra shootings

SSS
BASC for me, as you can tell from my sig. They do a lot more than just insurance and for that, its well worth the money
Colster
I'm with SSS on this, I ummed and ahh'd on what to do regarding shooting insurance but recent events made me think that it was worth putting some money in the warchest. Shooting is under ever increasing scrutiny and we need a voice in both the government and the media. I think BASC did a great job following the Cumbrian shooting and the often quoted "No knee-jerk legislation..." comment that you will have heard from various sources including David Cameron, came iirc from their initial press statement.
