arjimlad
I had one of these as a lad and when this one came up in January I could not resist trying it out. 70mm chambers with tight choking, this is a practical usable reliable hammergun. It weighs 7lbs. The stock is only 14" long but I will include a "work in progress" wooden extension with the gun which needs finishing & final profiling. The original bakelite buttplate will be refitted. Ideally the woodwork should be stripped & oil finished but I have not had time to do it & won't have the time for the foreseeable future. This gun has had very little use. It is like new in many ways. If I can get £250 for this I'll sell it, face to face only please. Based just north of Bristol. browning123
I had one of these in the mid sixties, I shot loads of ducks/pheasants with it around the sewerage farms by where I lived at that time. Always regretted part ex'ing it for a Thomas Wild S/S hammerless.
arjimlad
I felt the same, regretted parting with the one I had. Happy memories ! New baby (third) means less chance to go shooting, so going down to one or two 12 bores means I will shoot better & hit more. Theory's good... Gordon R
MCB - good luck. Looks a nice gun. If you were nearer, I would have already bought it.
