bullet boy
After scouring the pages of a recent Deben brochure,I have been looking at these 'New' Lithium Ion batteries for Lamping. Has anyone got any or anyone used these? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.
mick miller
Yes. Buy one. I have a Lithium Ion for my Tracer Max. It weighs next to nothing and fits in my shirt pocket. It easily lasts many hours of lamping and provides a constant supply until exhausted without a power curve of ever diminishing output. One major point, after use recharge it immediately to maintain life.

Raja Clavata
Agree. Two was a bit extravagant but deffo worth investing in one if you can afford to...
bigt1754
How long roughly will the 8ah last? Can you run a magnet off it if you put a cigar lighter plug on the end? bigt
Paddy Galore!
I don't have one for the lamp yet but i've got cordless tools with them, much better than the old Ni-cad, much lighter, more output, more compact. I'd advise to go for the highest AH you can afford. atb gram.
shoughton
Yep - they are excellent. I wonder how I ever coped with the heavy lead acid or nicad cells! They are expensive but should last many years - when you do the sums they are well worth it - lamping is SO much more comfortable and practical! garygreengrass
I do`nt see why you can not run a magnet off it as I am running my light force lamp with a 100 watt bulb but will be trying it with a magnet and my pigeon toys off it when I go pigeon shooting. ( I have the 22ah one )
shoughton
No problems whatsoever running a magnet from one - it is functionally exactly the same thing and is just as happy delivery high current loads as light ones. Steve
