BATTERYS

Recommended Posts

Dear Highlander

The heaviest battery that I now carry is a 1.2Ah for my flapper.

But I do usually have the luxury of having McF in tow, who carries the whizzer and battery (17Ah).

He has moaned about the weight of the battery since the day it was first tried out. Given that he once worked down the pit, thats saying something. The 17Ah battery was obtained well before I had any interest in a battery business; when either the battery or McF packs in ( which ever happens first), the battery will be replaced with a 7Ah. McF is looking prety fit at the moment, so I doubt that he will require replacement.

it depends on the magnet your using, the length of the wires from mag to battery and if your using a speed controller

My pinewood will last 7 hours on a 7amp with dead birds but as i start with flappers on it then i get 8 or 9 hours.

If im using dead birds from start then i will take the 17 amp and get a full 12 hours with no problems.

the smaller battery i buy from toolstation as there as cheap as chips.

Phil.
