mickmep
something beretta with a kickoff ? or 21 gram carts through an o/u ? think you'll be able to run 24 gram carts through an urika with a kickoff, that should be real soft. not sure how light a cartridge a benelli or other inertia semi will cycle. sodit
Hi I have an artificial right shoulder (metal ball on the humerus) after an accident, I have to shoot using the right shoulder as I cannot extend my right arm to hold the foregrip if I try to shoot off the left shoulder. I shoot a Browning ULTRA XS also a Beretta Urika AL391 I use either 24 gram or 21 gram (for clays) cartridges in both guns. This most important thing I have found is gun fit. It helps that the Ultra has an adjustable stock the cheapest way I guess is to try a semi auto with the lightest cartridge it will cycle mine works OK with 21. but my mates wont cycle anything below 28 (Tekneys) another guy I know uses one Urika thats ok with 24 gram. Hope thats some help Neil (sodit missed again) Page
apache
What about 21G cartridges through a pump action? Will cycle anything that a semi might struggle with?

originalgeezer
I have a Benelli Comfort SA and it is great, recoil vastly reduced and good quality - it has recycled everything down to a 21g A great gun

mossy835
i use 21gram carts, and the kick is nill in the pump.
stevethevanman
Shooting shouldnt hurt unless there is alot of movement, controling the gun is the main thing! But yes, express make some good HV 24g loads, quite good for slightly lighter loads, you dont notice the differance A pad would help also Steve
MC
Get a over and under that he likes shooting and then have a proper recoil reducer like as ISIS or Gracoil one. A local gunsmith to me makes his own with hydraulic shock absorbers in it and I have one on my F3. With 28gr cartridges there is no felt recoil at all. If you want the details just let me know. COACH
I too have two shoulders that are almost useless due to hard graft and need replacing. All you need to do is to get an o/u sporter with a standard rubber recoil pad and use the HULL 21gram COMP X. He won`t feel a thing. They are so good that I use them for everything from tuition to Skeet and FITASC. They are fast at 1425 fps and have no recoil. Voted Cartridge of the year last year. poorpeet
If it helps and if he wants a semi. My Hatsan cycles 21grm clay loads with out any problems. As has been said, these give next to no felt recoil (and very little with an o/u) My Hatsan has the later cut away stock with the rubber insert. Nothing I've fired (up to 32grm) gives much of a thump and I'm built like a McDonalds chip!
