Catamong
Yes Folks, it looks like the rumours were spot on, next years World FITASC Sporting Champs is now confirmed as being held in Northern France at Orville, near Doullens, Pas De Calais, about 90 minutes from the ferry / tunnel. This will be a 4 day shoot, 50 birds each day, you can elect to shoot AM or PM, so it gives you half a day free to sample the delights that the local area has on offer..!!! :o The dates have not yet been confirmed, my best guess would be Thursday 14 July to Sunday 17 July, the only snag is that 14 July is Bastille day in France, (La Fete Nationale, a public holiday), so the Froggies, (God bless 'em), may shift it back or forward by a week. Anyway, I can guarantee a fantastic shoot with lots of quality targets, I know there's a few Northern numpties that will be shooting it, (The Potters), but how about beretta and Chard making the effort, and possibly a few from Essex.........??, it'll be a goodun, and well worth getting away from those dark satanic mills Oop North..!! Entries won't open until early next year, but pencil it in your diary. Cat.

Mr Potter
Potter Snr. is a definite (God willing) but I doubt the boy will be going, he'll be looking at the entry fee, about 200 euros!!!, and weighing up how many nappies that will buy :o Shot the European there last year and agree with Cat it was a fantastic shoot, ran like clockwork and all targets challenging but killable. The day the dates are confirmed I'll be booking a hotel, left it a bit late last year and could have done better. Anyone thinking about this will have to be quick off the mark when entries open, this year in Italy the entries (1000) filled up within days and I expect 2011 to go even quicker. Chard
I think my Eagerness to shoot this competition may have been Alchohol fueled It looks along way in the cold light of day But you never know I don't mind the distance, but I can't see me getting much change out of £1000 (or more) :o £200 to enter, £200 for the tunnel, £200 for petrol, cartridges, 4 nights in an overpriced hotel, hundreds of pounds for miniscule portions of food And then there's that French biere

Catamong
Yeah, it's not for the financially faint hearted, the entry fee will be probably 185 euros, (about 150 quid, but hopefully less this time next year), I use my Tesco Clubcard to get free tunnel crossings and the diesel for my motor goes on my Company All Star Card. I may have to top up over there, but with diesel currently still around 95 a litre over there, it doesn't break the bank. I stay in a cheapie hotel that costs about 40 quid per person per night, including an "all you can eat" breakfast, and the local supermarket sells a stunning Cotes Du Rhone Village at £1.30 a bottle, and a case of 24 stubby bieres for under a fiver..!! What more could you want..? Cat.

Catamong
I'll also clear the ***** and mules out of my large double garage, lay some fresh straw on the floor and provide 2 buckets, one empty, one full of water, so the Northern numpties can doss down for a nominal charge before the gruelling 90 minute journey from my pad to the tunnel, now you can't say fairer than that.......true Suvvern hospitality at it's best.
