Right i am not thinking about buying one now but do like the idea of getting a muzzle break at some point in the future. My rifle is a T3 in 6.5x55 S/S with a 1 in 14 thread if that makes any difference. Is it something an RFD would stock? or more a rifle smith? and also what sort of cost do they tend to be at?

The T3 tactical has one, so you could probably order that as a Tikka part...

The question begs... why?

Fit a decent mod.

I bought i wildcat predator 8 today its just the weight it adds wouldn't make it ideal for hill stalking and a muzzle break will help reduce muzzle flip and recoil.

The P8 COMPACT would have been a better option for weight and balance, same baffle stack as the full P8!

For field and range work my view is muzzle breaks should be banned, leave them to the services, they make the ground move, and your ears bleed, and if not yours then certainly anyone stood next to you!

ATB!!

There is nothing wrong with muzzle breaks unless you are next to one at a range, but one of the beauties of the 6.5 is it's mild manners, it really doesn't need one IMO

If you think you do, UK Neil on the BBS will make you one.

I agree you don't need a mod on the hills though.

A shooting mate of mine has a T3 Tactical and the concussion blast ,dust and debris flying everywhere is very impressive, but not condusive to relaxed shooting if your laid down beside it!Spectacular at night, but totally detroys your night vision! He shoots with the moderator 99% of the time, and just puts the break on if we fancy a laugh.
