andrewluke
i don't think you can not post direct to a buyer,a barrel has to be recorded on a shotgun certificate so would have to be sent to RFD, andrew
Gordon R
Andrew - from memory - a barrel is not recorded on a shotgun cert - so Vic is correct. If I am wrong - I am all ears.

Alanl50
If the barrel has a serial number on it it must be entered on your certificate. Alan
VicW
The person who buys the barrel has the problem whether or not it goes on their certificate. I have just bought another barrel from a policeman and there was no certificate entries to do because it wasn't on his certificate, that's good enough for me. A friend recently sent a complete gun to a reputable gunsmith for modification and was advised to send it special delivery Royal Mail. The gunsmith returned it the same way. Vic. VicW
:look: Now I think this is a bit naughty....... correct me if i'm wrongEdd I queried the method of sending at the time but the item returned safely. When I am at a shooting ground and gunshop near me you see carriers, including Royal Mail, bring guns and other items in and out all the time.Once the gun is in the van it appears to be treated no differently to any other parcel it seems.
