Dekers
is there any difference between the two rifles other than the obvious cal size ? Depends what you mean by different...take a look...http://www.czub.cz/en/catalog/80-rimfire-rifles-cz.aspx. The actions are fundamentally the same but the magazine fit is not, so the stocks are different as well, so are the bolts! HMR Silhouette at the top, then the .22lr Silhouette...the stock is a different design...don't know what they are made of..perhaps a word with Edgar Bros will help! http://www.edgarbrothers.com/ It doesn't show well but the HMR has patterning on the forestock and grip, the .22lr is plain..if you are clever and can enlarge the picture you will see! Dekers
hmm the seams look rough could i sand it down maybe if mine was rough? They tend to be rough (ish), but in honesty many manufacturers synthetic seams are the same! I don't see why a bit of work with VERY FINE wet and dry wouldn't sort it out!
Paddy Galore!
hmm the seams look rough could i sand it down maybe if mine was rough? yes, just be careful, these are made from "blown" plastic, it's easy to go through too far. finish off with a very fine grit, 400gr or so. Even better, use a cabinet scraper.

I do also, if you take the stock off both you will see the way in which the action and in the case of the .22 the barrel are secured is different. The wood on mine is different type but the fit and dimentions seems identical

CZ always have checkering on the American (or light) Barralled weapons and no checkering on the Varmints, that is why the 22LR silhouette has no checkering in the picture, becuase it has a varmint barrell. If you go Like for like (CZ452 17hmr Varmint, and CZ 452 .22LR Varmint) the stocks will look exactly the same (except for the magazine etc as mentioned)

The 4 rifles in the picture are ALL light barrels, none are Varmint barrels, the .22 Silhouette does not have checkering/patternation the .17 Silhouette does, the .22lr Style does not and the .22WMR does... Norrie
Hiya, According to my FEO, they are almost the same calibre...I'd asked for a variation on my licence to add a 17HMR, got a call from my FEO this after, telling me, that I'd have to get rid of either my .22 FAC air, or my .22 CZ rimmy....then the HMR would be allowed on my ticket...seemingly the calibre is too close to allow three of them on my ticket....so, after some great advice from a couple of chaps, and lots of thinking about it, I decided to keep what I've got on my ticket, and forget the HMR....so...anyone want to buy an HMR CZ It'll be in the gunshop this week... I'd contest that, there are loads of peeps on here (including myself) that have all three on their FAC's and can prove a need for all of them. Hiya, I did think about contesting it, and explained to my FEO about needing the HMR for distance shooting of rabbits, as the 22RF wasnt up to it...nor was the Airgun,. but, as it's my first time with a ticket, and my FEO has been great with advice etc.... thought better about it...mibbes later on, I'll have another go at it...
