I have book which says it is very tough stuff and you may need to use a scafold pole once the horn is heated  the book is a bit light on detail, but then I guess part of the fun is finding out for yourself. Trouble is, I only have 2 bits so I don't want to knacker one of them at the first attempt.

I have made a template out of bit of old pine in the meantime, as the first stick will be for the missus I want to get it right :sly:

Although I don't have anything to swap (yet) I wouldn't mind some advice on bending black buffalo horn if any of you experts can help a hapless chancer like me :*)

How hot does it need to get and what would you use to bend it?

Have a look at this link it might be of some help to you
