Algiz
Anyone else found that some pellets don’t seem to want to fit into a BSA lightning, I noticed this especially with Bisley pest control.
Dekers
.177 or .22 (5.5 or 4.5mm) there are variations of pellet size commonly available between 0.01-0.03mm, add this to any manufacturing tolerances, and new barrels need a bit of breaking in, and you end up with quite a variation! If these are too tight in the barrel you will lose energy, always a good idea to try a few different pellets in any barrel to work out best accuracy and energy!! Sha Bu Le
Recently got a new Lightning XL .177 cal with a free tin of powa pells, these seem ok - good fit not too tight. Can't comment on accuracy as I'm still getting used to the gun but will be trying other brands, especially the ones the lads on PW recommend. Cheers all

Bisley practice are great in my tactical xl in .22 flavour
pabs
BSA barrels have always been on the tighter side, certainly compared to the LW barrels in my experience. Get the dremel out and put a little lead-in, usually saves the thumb.....
